ya, the "explanations" in that link were far fetched at best. e'en isnt a contraction for evening. it is a poetic form of even. even and evening arent the same as far as i remember... but they added "irregardless" so anything is possible, no matter how irrelevant it may be. all hallows eve is what it was, halloween is what i call it.
