Now that I found out Verizon blocked port 80, what would be the best/cheapest alternitive for web hosting? I really dont care to be spening outrageous amounts of cash. Although I'm exteremly upset with verizon for blocking this port, I can totally see why they have done so.

Any Advice in the matter would be highly appriciated.

Thanx in advance,

Joe

I called them TWICE just to varify that the first person knew what the heck he was talking about. But yes, I'm positive that they blocked it. I'm pretty pissed off about this and wanted to be able to setup an web/ftp to host some pictures.

Thank you for taking to out to help out,

Just use a dynamic DNS service like dns2go to automatically forward HTTP requests to a different port of your choosing. It's really simple. You can even set it up so that users don't even know they are using a different port.

I have this service along with a lot of fellow Anandtech-ers and I think everyone is very pleased with it.
