Is anybody playing MP, it's pretty fun ,rank 8 . The UI is lame and from what I hear Ubi is very bad at fixing things. I got as far as finishing the tutorial in SP and put it down for MP...

Yeah, WTF is up with the shotguns , I mean cmon even shooting from the hip at 5 or ten yards should bring down any Tshirt clad native but not here. Perhaps it's just me but even sighted bring similar results, crap...
The dieing animations are to slow and I always seem to put more rounds into a target than needed...

You can also use the R button to zoom out to a larger map during the game.

But that map doesn't show diamond locations does it?
(Thanks Skace.)

Hah yea, I should have said what the link was for, woops. Anyhow, I'm planning to do the same for Act 2. Already got 2/9 areas done.

I think the reason people here seem to dislike it is because it's being compared to Crysis. They're really different games - I'd say FC2 is more akin to STALKER. Crysis restricted the player a lot and kept you on a relatively linear path, albeit with different ways to approach. In FC2, you can go anywhere on the map and there's not too much direction given to you. As for those complaining about driving everywhere - the buses will take you close to your destination and there's always a car at the bus stops that you can use. There are cars everywhere - just imagine if you had to walk everywhere like in STALKER. And I like the fact that crappy weapons jam - it gives you incentive to buy your own. I also like the buddies that your character has - being rescued by a buddy and continuing in the fight is so much better than "reload last save" every time - it makes Hardcore a lot more fun.
It's also cool how every battle can become quite epic very quickly. I just took one of those "Destroy the convoy" missions. As soon as I blew up the truck with an RPG, enemies just came from everywhere. I died, got rescued by my buddy, and we fought off 3 or 4 cars worth of guys. Really fun to see the aftermath of the battle.

wow, you had more people join than what was in the convoy? i remember one convoy mission i go there was a guard station at this crossroad area. on 1 side of the road, there was a this rocky area where you could climb up and hide. i hid up there and waited for the convoy. tried to shoot the transport truck but missed. the last jeep in the convoy came after me so i blew it up with the RPG. the transport and the lead jeep just kep going. waited for them to come around again and this time i got the transport but the lead jeep just kept going, lol.
there are some areas that are completely infested with enemy. the one area where there is a big lake with some buildigns around it, forget what it is called. that was bad...
another area i found was up a mountain path. it didn't seem to lead to anything but it was infested with enemies. found some cool rock cliff areas where you got some beautiful views though.

Yeah, I went off in the other thread about the FOV making me sick.
-I don't like how the enemy patrols are implemented. Either they start shooting you when they're right up your ass or they see you from a few hundred yards out, reverse and speed towards you.
-Stealth killing someone with a machete = not quiet at all. Guys will still notice it and mob rush you.
-Crysis syndrome. Takes a dozen shots to drop someone.
-Crysis syndrome 2: you can aim at someones back, and they react as if they saw you. Same applies to nades, as soon as you let go, they're running in all directions. Must be that spider sense.
-Not enough bus stations or ammo warehouses.
How do you guys adjust the watch when you're at a safehouse? Speaking of the safehouse, I thought your allies are supposed to be in them. Wtf!
plenty of ammo around and i rarely use the safehouses.
you used the a and d keys to adjust the watch

Anyone else think the game would be better if the APR guys weren't hostile to you, just UFLL? You are on the APR side after all. I know the guy at APR HQ says that no one knows you so that's why everyone is an enemy, but it's annoying not being able to take 3 steps without being attacked by someone. It would be much cooler if there were both APR and UFLL NPCs on the map and they attacked each other on site, but APR was friendly to you. Even cooler if you could pick your side. Here's hoping someone makes a mod like this.
