Now that Bowl season is here, a quick question......

I've been told there is one major college team that has played, in its history, in the Sugar, Orange, Cotton, and Rose Bowls. Any idea what team that is?

I remember Florida State played in the title game 3 years in a row a few years ago, so that's 3 of 4.

edit: reread your post and saw you said Cotton and not Fiesta, I was assuming you were talking of the 4 major BCS bowls.

No, the Sugar, Orange, Cotton, and Rose Bowls.............they used to be the "Big Four" Bowl games way before the BCS came into existance.

Was unaware Ohio State got into the Cotton and Orange.........so there are two.....the other I know of is Univ. of GA...

Rose in '43
Sugar in '47 and numerous years thereafter
Orange in '42 and a few times thereafter
Cotton in '66 and a few times thereafter

This came up on a mailing list I subscribe to and I think that there were 6 that had been to the 4 BCS bowls. Obviously, the Rose was the hardest to get to unless you were a big 10 or pac 10 team. Don't know how much it changes when you include the cotton.
