I saw the NEC 3500A on the front page@ $99 with a $50 MIR, has this been changed? Good price regardless...

They have a $50. rebate on several 16x DVD burners (click on the form link) that is good on purchases thru the end of the month. However, I have no clue as to their turn-around time on them. I would guess from the size, they would drag their feet as long as possible to maximize the return from the float.
.bh.

The best deal on the PX-716A remains the PC Connection deal, which, IIRC, comes to $60 after two mail-in rebates ($50 and $30) plus adds a 50-spindle of FujiFilm DVDRs FAR. Only thing is, like most other sites and stores, it's on backorder. Last I heard, at PC Connection, until December 20.

Since the rebates expire December 31, it they don't make their ETA with the burner, the window for the rebates will close fast.

can this plextor burn low speed media like the NEC/Pioneer does? I love my DVR107 and was thinking about the 108 to burn 4x media at 16x (I have almost 100% success rate with 4x media now burnt at 8x), wondering if I could do the same with this "higher quality" burner from Plextor.

thanks
