My wife noticed this morning. We have two cats (littermates, both males), and one was missing this morning. She looke all over the house about 3 times, woke me up, and then I did the same. Lately he has been making dashes for the door and smelling around on the porch (indoor cat only, never outdoors, and spring has lots of fun new smells).

The last time we remember seeing him was 10pm last night. Right before I moved my car from one side of the street to the other. It looks like he must have dashed out then, but I still can't see how he would have sneaked past me.

Anyway, we scoured the neighborhood, looked under porches, etc. We will wait till Monday to contact a shelter, wish we knew our neighbors better :(

Anyways, sorry about your cat

there's been this fox who's been living in the woods near my house for a while now.. apparently some idiot on my block is actually feeding it  well anyways, my friend's cat went missing for a couple days and we were afraid that the stupid fox got it :/ but then after like a few days, it just randomly appeared, lol

hope you find your kitty :(

I bet he'll turn up. I've "lost" my cat for a day only to have her show up randomly at the end of the day, tired-looking, as she had been sleeping in some obscure corner of the house all day. I stopped worrying about her and she always takes care of herself. Any indoor cat will be too afraid to go far outside, too, so I doubt she is far from home if she did manage to escape. Good luck to you.

My sister had a Persian male cat which is about 7-8 years old and he got out over this past winter. We looked for him for days and couldn't find him. We lived in a wooded area and after a few days we figured some wild animal might have got ahold of him and just quit looking. Well 2-3 weeks(or longer) rolls by and my dad spots him around our neighbors back porch and catches him.

I think there is a good chance he will turn up if he lives. Good thing about most cats is they will eat about anything small that moves when they are hungry so I wouldn't worry about him starving.

BTW is he de-clawed(hope not) as it would be harder for him to catch food.

Its encouraging hearing about the cats that make it home!

He has all his claws, and he is a good climber/jumper. So hopefully he can fend for himself. I'm hoping he doesn't catch his own food! That way he'll come back to eat what we left on the porch.

Well if he's near he will come to eat the food you have setting out for him. But if he ain't he should be able to survive until you can spot him. If he's been a house cat all his life chances are he didn't go far. Like my sisters cat I think he was to scared to go far.
