Y'know... Lost in all this is Jason Taylor keeping his cool. Like a pissed off grizzly bear he could have killed that guy with one blow. With most other random NFL guys, you could safely bet money that some kind of violence would have been returned.

I think picking a fight with a black guy who is married to a white woman, calling him racial slurs, and then trying to stab him counts as a hate crime.

If he was a drunk jackass and t-boned Taylor's car, then that would just be him being retarded. Instead, he actually targeted him. Note, this isn't the first time someone has threatened Taylor. I believe after he got married that he received several death threats. People are amzingly stupid considering how big Taylor is and how big Taylor's wife's brother, Zach Thomas, is.

If I beat someone down and call them a ****** while doing so it is not a hate crime.

The report seems to be based only on what Taylor says happened. I'm not saying the guy didn't use racial slurs but that this is merely a road rage incident where racial slurs were used.

I doubt they set up a trap to catch black folks to attack. That would be a hate crime.........

that guy has self control......i mean he's like twice the man the white redneck was (literally and figuratively). he could of easily pouned his skull in.
 
Both men then jumped back in the truck and took off, with Taylor following and dialing 911. He lost the truck in a trailer park but was able to identify Burns from a photo lineup that police provided.

Honestly I'd have been much more in favor of him just shooting the guy.

Clearly justifiable (attacking with a weapon), & rids the world of one more idiot.

The redneck sounds like he has an appointment lined up with Darwin... most massive black guys he meets would disassemble him once he attacked them. I'm pleasantly surprised at the restraint of Taylor.

Well typically skinny white guys don't pick fights with huge football players. I don't care if they guy had a knife or what, he's going to get destroyed. If you're gonna pick a fight with an NFL defensive player and threaten him, your ass better have more than a little blade. I know that everyone here is a black belt and can bench 400+lbs, but typically most others can not.
