That pretty much sums up how I used to feel about the Yankees and the Orioles back when I was a Jays fan.
Seriously though, I'd hate being a government official in one of these countries. Think about it; they WANT to quell these uprisings for fear of arousing our suspicion and being put on 'the list', but if they TRY to do anything they themselves will be villified and seen as 'enemies of Islam'. That's pretty much how the Crown Prince of Jordan summed things up. Arabs are not historically known for political stability, and if ever there was a period of grace in one of their vast empires it came through setting up a fundamentalist Islamic state (fundamental states back in the day weren't what they are now!)
I REALLY feel bad for the Pakistani PM, Musharraf. This guy came to power in a military coup, and now while he's trying to get a dialogue going with the US, his citizens are all rallying AGAINST him and his critics are now pinning him an enemy of Islam (the same critics would have been shot for saying the same thing two weeks ago.) At some point in the war, I predict Pakistan will have another coup and the next guy won't be so friendly to the US and might even use the war as justification for attacking India. That would put two nuclear neighbors at war with each other. Not cool.
