I remember a video I saw a while back about this guy and a squirrel that he rescued. It would go everywhere with him. He even showered with it on his head.

Squirrels are awesome. I have an old oak tree in the yard that's loaded with them. I like watching the critters play. I might setup a platform feeder for flying squirrels this summer. I hear if you have grey squirrels, it's likely you have flying squirrels too. You need an open platform, and a light on it so you can see. They come out at night to feed.

Haha yeah they are so cute. I would love a pet one. I don't know how easy they would be to litter box train though. They tend to just go whenever they feel like it, kind of like birds. :p I think the trick is to get them raised by a mother cat. I've heard several stories of this. Seems some mother cats will actually raise them as if they were their own, rather then try to hurt them. I think a squirrel and a cat that are friendly together would be so awesome to have. Hours of entertainment watching them play. :D

There was this wild squirrel at our cottage years back that I was taming. I actually had to open a peanut shell in front of it to show that it's food. It was THAT wild, probably fed mostly on blueberries and other stuff that actually grows here. Did not know what peanuts are but sure learned quick to love them. By the end of the summer I had him climbing on me, and playing around. Sneaky little guy would do a laser dash towards the peanut bag and then out of it so fast, all I'd see is the bag move.

They are nothing but rats with long bushy tails. They rip apart my bird feeders and spill the seed all over my yard.

Do it favor now and smack it in the head a hammer before it gets squished all the road and its innards back in the hot sun like an egg in a skillet.

Natural selection. The smart ones don't get hit by cars, they perform amazing bird feeder raids, putting everyone in awe.

Once humans develop high enough technology in bird feeders, maybe, just MAYBE, squirrels will be stopped.

We've had a couple common squirrels. One we found in our garage one day, the other was given to us, both were babies. As they get older, they start to become more wild and will bite. Its cute at first because they don't bite hard enough to break the skin or cause any pain, but then a few weeks later - BAM - they start nailing you hard for no apparent reason.

That and they will climb all over you like a tree. This isn't as neat as it sounds, because they have claws, which they use to dig into you through your clothing while they are scurrying around on you.

Ferrets are cool. I like them all, furry critters. Rabbits, hedgehogs, skunks, whatever. I'm especially a big sucker for just about any baby critter.
