Yeah, but I'm not encouraged by DirecTV's new leasing model. $500 upfront for the privilege of leasing their HD-DVR? They are gonna have to do way better than that with the new HD-DVRs.

except in my experiences the satellite signals really do suck. They don't go out too often, but I can easily tell where the compression artifacts, or god forbid it not be a perfect day, the signal quality just dies. FYI, just about everything comcast sucks, once it's working though, it's soooo much nicer.

Can you record if both tvs are in use? What HD channels does Dish offer?
