Who the hell leaves their garage open?

guy came around the back, went into two car garage (loaded with lots of nice gear) back door. We dont lock it as I dont believe we have a key for it. The funny part of the story is the guy tried to hide once he was caught, to which he replied "ARE YOU FVCKING SERIOUS?"

So you can't close this door but you leave it loaded with "nice gear"? That seems ok to you? I mean you may as well just leave the stuff on the front lawn. I'm not saying you deserve to get robbed, but you definitely are lacking in the common sense department.

They came with a K9 unit to catch a bum?

i know eh , what a waste of tax dollars.

Using police resources to protect a tax paying citizens property seems like the perfect use of tax dollars.

Especially if the k9 unit wasn't busy. Where I work, 95% of the time, there is no use for k9, and he ends up running radar.

The back door was closed, garage door was not open. The lock for this door is either busted or we dont have a key for it. The bum left the door open which is what set off red flags. Needless to say we have all the replacement doors in the garage but since they are never home, havent gotten around to put them on yet.

To people talking about waste of use of K9 unit: Keep in mind this is BURLINGTON, VERMONT. Nothing happens here. I am pretty sure for a while we had the lowest crime rate of any "city" in the country.

Again I wouldn't classify this guy as a "bum", he looked like he knew exactly what type of ****** he was looking for and we even found a backpack full of our stuff that he was ready to take.
