me and my bro are connected to a wireless router. we can ping and see each other in our workgroup just fine. before i used to access his shared docs to give him files and that's where he would put his files to share with me. he said he messed with l0phtcrack and tried to crack his password or something and now when i try to connect to him it says i need a password. -_- i have tried to enter all the passwords i've ever known and my brother tried to enter his password. i even tried to enter without one. can't seem to get in. i'm not even sure where you can go to password protect your computer on a network.

anyone know where/how to fix this?

Try giving the share full access to everyone.

how do i go about doing this?

Or setup user accounts and passwords on each machine.

🙁 i hope i don't have to make new users.

Right click on the share, go to properties, explore. I don't have a Windows machine handy at the moment.

Disable simple file sharing... If you want 😉 Personally I don't see what advantages it gives you and it just makes things not work as 100% expected, at least what *I* expect.

That doesn't really help with your specific issue, just some general advice.
