I imagine using a plasma as a pc output is the only remaining case where burn-in is still a serious issue. Unless you only turned it on to play games.

Even then the game UI can be burned in. Also My 20 inch monitor has more resolution than a tv.

Brag thread.

That's what 5 grand in those pics (of course that's nothing to the Ducati in your pic)? Now you just need to equalize your spending so that its not 99% display and 1% audio.

True ATOTer. :p

So, tell us about your business card.

Screen saver.
I use it for my main PC. I have a wireless keyboard and a wireless trackball.

Wife gets upset if I get too loud. LOL I spent lots on the home theatre and never get to enjoy it.

I'm quite surprised. At the very least, I'd imagine task bars, tool bars, and widgets would result in image retention. On the flip side, plasma makes for quite a nice display (from what I hear).

Do they rotate or do you have to remount the monitors to switch orientations?

Sounds awesome, but I don't really understand. How do they move the "image" without you noticing. How do you rotate an image while still have it maintain the same appearance to the viewer?
One definition reads: "the image rotates in a circle in a way imperceptible to the viewer with a defined rhythm and pixel interval."

I have both a current gen plasma and a 1st gen plasma. Both have computers hooked into them as well as normal AV stuff. The 1st gen DOES have prior burn in from a previous owner, but with a full screen image you never notice. It also retains static images pretty bad. They clear quickly, however, I try to avoid keeping a static image on the 1st gen too long.

The current gen with the pixel orbiter/shifter doesn't have any problems at all with burn in, even with multi-hour static displays. You really don't notice the pixel shift, plus it doesn't happen consantly.

I wish I could wall mount my displays, but I'm going to need a new desk here within the year which might entail rearranging my office. I'm always afraid of wall haning stuff (even pictures) for fear that I'm going to change my mind and have to do repairs. That, and I change my mind way too much.

nice triple head setup.

That said, who browses full screen at that resolution, I find most websites look "bad" at more than about 1280 pixels width .... though the extra vertical Resolution certainly should come in handy :)

I would love a setup like that for work, could have my emails, several ssh connections to servers, and several other things I'm working on all open at the same time without having to alt tab (currently just use my laptop + an old 19inch LCD ... heh)

That said ... for gaming .. I'm content with my old 24inch, though one of these days I'm gonna bring my PC downstairs and hook it up my my projector ... 1080P is kinda low res for PC ... but at 106 inches it should be fun :)

Wow plasma TV, trackball I feel like I've got back in time 5 years.
I have spare trackball mice in case they stop making them. I can't stand a regular mouse.
Plus, it'd be hard to play COD on the couch with a regular mouse.

BTW, OP. Awesome set up!
