Politicians and Lawyers are both inherently liars, so there are two things working against her. That is what he was getting at, not that it was just Hillary.

Well, I think it's obivious that I have infact written many paragraphs in this forum and others - quite often. Most people tend to not get a bunch of sand in their vagina over minor errors, such as spelling errors. Unless, of course they've got some sort of grudge ;)

So, are you going to answer my previous question or not?

Hillary was in the White House for 8 years!!!!!! She had access along with her husband to all the intelligence, not just the so called 'white washed' version.
And, btw, would you mind posting a link proving Hillary had access to classified information? I'll assume that Laura has equal access so I'll take a link to that one, too.
?????
Good luck with that. The BushCo shills aren't here to address fact and reason. They're here to parrot the propaganda points, blow smoke, and flee to their next diversion when cornered. We might as well get used to it.

Whether PJ is a paid shill or merely auditioning for the job, expect to see his daily swiftboatings through the 2008 elections.

He will continue repeating the same disinforation incessantly, never once acknowledging all the previous times it has been exposed as lies.

Spreading propaganda is the only place the Bush administration isn't a total failure. Their "Stay the course" isn't just Iraq. They know how to stay on-message, no matter what.

But I want to be paid too.

Again, it is not so much her changing her mind, but the manner in which is going about it.

She is trying to pander to the anti-war crowd, nothing else.
When the war was popular she was all for it, not that the war is not popular she is trying to make everyone forget how she voted.

She has no back bone and no core values.

She can't even come out and explain why she voted for the war in 2002, but is against it now. Unless I missed that speech.

umm not at all... If Bush had no backbone he would have picked up and left Iraq a LONG time ago. He has NOTHING to gain by staying in Iraq, politically that is, and everything to lose.
Instead of talking about a plan to send MORE troops to Iraq he could start bringing them home and be the hero of so many who are against the war.

Standing behind an unpopular decision is far harder than running and changing your mind to suit whoever you are speaking in front of today.

QFT. I have much more respect for someone that stands their ground (whether I agree or not) than someone who is wishy washy. At least the one who stands their ground you know where they stand-

So you find stubbornness and the lack of character to admit mistakes more laudable than thoughtful consideration of changing circumstances and personal accountability? Afraid we'll just have to agree to disagree on that one. The Bush administration is stuck on stupid, and America is paying a heavy price for it.

Let's correct the fictitious history from ProfJohn.

Hillary did not vote "for the war". She voted for the president to get the leverage he asked for to get inspectors back in by letting him threaten war if they were not allowed in. Bush told Congress that the vote *was not for war*.
Craig I don?t think anyone else is using that as an excuse. It was VERY clear what they were voting for. They voted to authorize the President to use force if he felt it was necessary.

John, many are saying it, and it's the facts, not an excuse, to say that Bush lied to them and said this was not a vote for war, but a vote for leverage to get inspectors in.

Then he kicked out the inspectors to make sure they didn't prove their were no WMD and invaded.

Even your own quote from her shows the big flip-flop
"Obviously, I've thought about that a lot in the months since," she said. "No, I don't regret giving the president authority because at the time it was in the context of weapons of mass destruction, grave threats to the United States, and clearly, Saddam Hussein had been a real problem for the international community for more than a decade."

The quote proves my point, not yours: she points out that the vote was for dealing with WMD, which the inspectors were what Bush promised would be used instead of war.

It has only been in the last few months that she has gone from being for the war to against the war. You can trace her steps, she has done this in a slowly well calculated way, like everything the Clinton?s do.

I think it will be fun in the next year to watch the people who voted for the war try to out do each other as the anti-war candidate.

You are misrepresenting the history. They *did not vote for the war*. Bush said it was *not a vote for war*. Bush lied.

You are, unwittingly probably, trying to cover up Bush's lie by portratying their accurate statements as flip flopping.

In other words, if he had half a brain, he would have done the same thing.

It would take more "backbone," and a whole lot more class, to admit he lied and he was wrong than to stand like a jackass, pissing into the wind and ignoring the truth about how bad he and his administration haves fscked up the country and the world.

How many times did we hear Bill call Hillary his 'co-President'? How active of a roll did she take in the White House?
We know she was active, she lead the health care panel.
We also know she had a hand in picking people who served in the White House.
Just because we don't have a sheet of paper that says "Hillary read report-X" does not mean that she was not involved.
Dick Morris, who worked for Clinton at the time, said Hillary was the 'de facto cheif of staff' for the Clinton White House.

Or are you telling me that she spent 8 years baking cookies while the world passed her by?

Also, even if she hadn't seen the intel, don't you think Bill would have told her if it was bad and not as much of a slam dunk as everyone thought?

At least people are starting to be able to admit their mistakes. Bush thinks that he will somehow be proven right by screwing this country and Iraq up so bad that we'll somehow forget everything while we have to repay trillions in additional debt.
