Wow! Nice prices on E-Wires! I may have to pick up a pair of these... Mine are 6 years old and have tons of scratches.

RDMustang,

If your Oakley's are falling apart, you might try sending them to warranty them to Oakley. Since they're out of warranty, there is a $19 charge (unless they changed it). Problem is, they might not do it if it is just "wear and tear". The wires are a pain to fix, so usually they will just send you a whole new pair. If you get a nice warranty tech, he may replace it since $19 is enuf to cover the cost for Oakley.

Or, you may send in a "warrantable" pair. I believe that if your lens are cracked, have spots in them (defective lenses), frame broke somehow, they will replace it. Most of the time, I tossed the pairs and gave new ones since they are so nasty and beyond repair.

Oakley's have sweet ass service. Usually if you have a problem, send your old glasses back and you'll sometimes get a whole new pair for like $35..

What are the Oakley Tens? Are they similar to the FrogSkins or Fives?

Argh they only have one model of FrogSkins for $49.93, why does it say Black Iridium but the frame is white or matte? I want black crystal!

bigsmooth 20/20: Thanks I didn't notice that minor detail. Oh well I have a pair sitting around here somewhere with a cracked frame, it'd would be cheaper for me to send 'em back and get a new pair for $19 (unless they are warrantied) but it takes like 4-6 weeks to get 'em back. Oregon sunshine doesn't last all that long.

I always thought Oregon sunshine = rain. ;) I like the E-Wires and the Square Wires, but I am still too cheap to drop $90 on an accessory.

I always thought Oregon sunshine = rain.

That's during the other 3 seasons, we do have beautiful summers though.

I have two pairs of oakleys and they are awesome. this is the first time i ever seen them on sale. usually authorized resellers never put them on sale. but i noticed these are last years models, thats why they are on sale. but when they say (color) iridium like black iridium, they are referring to the tint and reflection of the lenses. if it doesnt say iridium, the lens dont have that mirror effect. nice find on these sunglasses tho! i might pick up another pair! and yes their service is awesome. i got replacement rubber pieces in matter of 4-5 days.

you can tell fake oakleys by the weight. real ones are light and feel like you dont have them on. also the lenses of real oakleys cut down glare by a lot. that is almost impossible to reproduce at cost effective manner in those Foakleys

oakleys are cool especially if you do sports but most people wear them just for the trend :)

the e-wire is definetly the way to go as they look more formal and you can wear them to work as well as to the beach

Oakleys is SUCK! I've had to pay $20 to get my Eyejackets fixed 3 times and they are only 3 years old! If the lenses crack or get scratched, forget it. They won't replace them. They should change the name to Brokelys.

I owned a pair of Vaurnets for 11 years, so I'm pretty easy on my shades. After dropping $100 for a frickin pair of sunglasses, I expected better quality and service. BTW, I've been extremely satisfied with the 2 pairs of Foakleys I bought for $7 each. I don't notice any difference in the lenses and, if they break or get lost...who cares. So go ahead and waste your bread, eyewear snobs. I will never buy another pair of Oakleys.
