It is legal to carry a loaded gun in a vehicle in Kansas. So legal in fact, that the state legislature passed a law prohibiting cities and towns from passing any ordinances to the contrary.

This is why sane evolved people try not to live in Kansas

In MANY states, unless the person has a Concealed Weapon Permit, even a handgun has to be unloaded and the ammunition stored away from the pistol. Otherwise, it's considered a concealed weapon.

Of course, Texas isn't most states. Loaded guns AND open alcohol containers in a moving vehicle! What could go wrong?

Well except there was that one time my best friends sisters fiance who was a Houston Oiler crashed his car after a party and killed his best friend. After calling 911 he got the gun out of the gun rack in the back and committed suicide. But you know other than that... nothing!
