Kick-Ass - 8.3/10 - Loved it
Girl w/ Dragon Tatooo (US) - 7.5/10 - Good, but long? Wondering if its because I knew what was going to happen, so no real element of suspense. It was nice seeing the story visualized and it was well done. Casting and acting were good, Mara was superb.

Watched the Back To The Future Trilogy again.

Still it is a 10/10 trilogy for me!

...and why is everything so heavy? Is there something with the gravity in the future?

Very strange that Battleship is not out here yet. I assumed it was because it was reviewed on my UK podcast ages ago, or at least it felt like ages ago.

The Game - 9/10: I had actually forgotten just how much I loved this movie. It's such a great mystery-action-thriller, even when you already know what is going to happen. Probably my second favourite Fincher film after Zodiac which is by far his best. The Game moves along at a perfect clip, grabbing you pretty much right at the start and never gets bogged down like Fight Club does (which is probably tied with Se7en for my third favourite Fincher). Douglas is great and is surrounded by a perfect supporting cast. Sure, it gets a bit absurd near the end, but by that point I don't care because it's been nothing but fun getting there.

Hunger games 6/10: Childish forgettable movie. I read the book first and they totally botched it.

The foreign version dragged out. Havn't wasted my time on the US release.

Thirst - 2/10 - Slow to develop and subtitles were not well done. Clearly done by someone that spoke japanese natively, not english. It was poor enough that I did not watch the entire movie. Probably got through 1/3 of it. If you can put up with a few annouyances and want an interesting vampire movie that is more of a drame/sci-fi flick, this could be it. Iread teh plot description at wikipeida and the 2/3 I skipped sounded very interesting. Might even go try to finish it now granted the surprises won't be there. 9/10 for the plot description. This could easily be done better by Hollywood. I think it should be.

Pretty sure Thirst is Korean. I loved the movie; one of the best vampire films I've ever seen with some very cool sequences. I do recall it being a bit long, but loved it overall.

Just watched Avengers today in 3D. 8/10.

This is among the very best 3D conversions I've ever seen.. if not the best. Very very entertaining movie. Hulk = lol.

The aerial battles of this movie was just stupendously awesome; and Capt America+ironman vs thor = very cool.

I must go watch this again once I get back to the States.

One thing that supremely bothered me is that the F-35B in the movie is completely wrong. It's as if they cheaped out and used the same incorrect F-35 models from Superman Returns and/or Live Free and Die Hard. The intake doors depicted are completely wrong, and it has DUAL guns shooting from the main engine intakes. wtf? The F-35B has NO guns, and uses a gun-pod if it needs it. The helmet is completely wrong. The cockpit is completely wrong (it has a HUD). The F-35 has no HUD. The only movie that had the F-35 almost correct is the Green Lantern (correct helmet, cockpit, but incorrect aircraft model.. they rendered a B, instead of A.. and the movie clearly says it's the F-35A, because they're in the air force).

I'm not sure why that bothered me instead of the insane carrier they were on hahaha. That was cool!

Everything Must Go 8/10
Will Ferrell plays man that gets booted out of his house and has to come to terms with his drinking problem and his wife leaving while having to live on his lawn with all his stuff with him. Solid movie and worth a watch.

To Hell and Back 8/10
A look at one soldiers journey to Afghanistan, being wounded in the war, and coming back and trying to cope with everyday life back home. It really gives you an in depth look at what its really like for these guys.

They fcked up the Hulk again? I'll have to see it for myself, have high hopes that Whedon would finally do Hulk some justice.

Can't wait to see this movie.

Oh btw, Cabin in the Woods - 8/10: Excellent satire of modern day horror films and loved all the cliches they poked fun at. The rampaging unicorn was epic. I also liked the pacing of the film, allowing the audience to figure things out as the characters did. While I wasn't a huge fan of the stoner character, he did add some humor to the film early on. It did seem to drag in certain parts, but overall very well done and much more clever than Scream.

Watched several movies in the past few weeks.

Cabin in the Woods - 8/10: I enjoyed it, but some of the dialog was dumb (mostly stoner guy from Dollhouse). I liked the twist at the end and the underlying meaning.

Pontypool - 7/10: Small set "zombie" film with a twist. I didn't especially enjoy the twist, but I thought it was a well done and entertaining film.

The Divide - 2/10: I was pretty excited for this, since I enjoy EOTW type stuff. My expectations were way off and I didn't enjoy it in the least. Gets 2 points for the first 30 seconds.

THE RAID REDEMPTION 8/10 - I was high out of my mind so I can't remember all of the details but the movie was complete action from beginning to end. The fight choreography is amazing. This sounds gay as shit but I would give the movie a higher school but I think there was so much action in the movie that I got kinda bored after a while.

The inclusion of the F35B in Live Free or Die Hard alone bothered me. If I remember correctly, the A wasn't even in testing yet, but the B (which was scheduled for later) was in full use... in an urban environment? o_O I figured using a helicopter wasn't cool (even though it would be far more realistic), because they had one earlier in the film.

In Time - 7/10

Interesting concept. The story needed work. Time = money just doesn't work as an analogy.

I think the issue with In Time is that it was really nothing more than a Sci-Fi spin on Robin Hood. It isn't very obvious until you're about halfway through the movie, but they definitely could have done more... perhaps
gone further into the father's exploits
. Also, how did the
Minutemen find them in the poor district? They had tire tracks down on the ground like they knew they would be driving through the aquaducts.

Hall Pass - 8/10 - cliched but hilarious. I haven't laughed that much at movie labeled as a comedy in a long time.

Three Stooges - 7.5/10 (.5 for bonus, more later) - not as fun as the original black and white films. Not bad for a remake but does not have the charm and laugh as the originals. Kate Upton was a stunner as a nun and her out of nun outfit at the end was a bonus point.

Safe - 7/10 - typical action movie and Jason S. as the main guy so what do you expect? Not much talk but action sequences. I shook my head every time I saw a US movie that the good guy(s) just very much walked in the bad guys headquarter.

Think Like A Man - 7/10 - I haven't read the book so I do not know how close or loose the movie is. Alright movie but not great. Some scenes were pleasant to watch and funny.
