I'm still going to give Marco Polo a chance -- even though the reviews seem to say it's pretty terrible. Many of those same reviewers say The Newsroom sucks horribly, but it's one of my favorite shows.

Not all shows are GoT or Breaking Bad or Homeland, but that doesn't mean that they aren't worth watching.

That being said, not sure when I'll get around to it. I have a teeny tiny backlog :D

White Collar 8/10 A bit far fetched some times, but overall decent scripts and the acting is decent.

7/10 Lucy

Dear lord, a whole movie where i can watch the big green eyes of Scarlett...

I would give it a 10/10 just for her.

Beware, it is no fun eating at around 22 minutes in the movie.
I am not telling why. It is just a warning.

The Newsroom -- 9/10

The series finale was this past week. Didn't care for the finale all that much, but I loved the series otherwise.

Season 3 is a bit different than S1/S2 in that the events are all fictional, even if they're based on real life things. Still was good though, up until the finale.

In the finale, they could have left out (FINALE SPOILERS SO DON'T READ IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT!!)
the flashback showing Sloan wanting to ask Don to coffee after she found out he was demoted, because seriously, why was that important? It didn't ruin anything, I just didn't think it contributed anything either. The whole garage jam bit, on the other hand. That was upsetting and stupid and by far the worst scene in the series. It's like they felt the show needed a little more Glee injected into it. I think it would've been fine if it was just Will and the two kids, but when the rest of the characters show up and join in, I didn't feel it was in line with the spirit of the previous 3 seasons of the show. I always saw Mac as too old to get pregnant, so I didn't like that happening, but I definitely see why they did it. And why did nobody go to see Neal when he got back? That was a little disappointing. His whole speech to the digital B team was awesome though. That was my favorite part of the finale.

I liked the Newsroom. Great series, too bad it is done.

Binge watched 4 episodes of "The Black Mirror" last night, great series. Each episode is unrelated but the theme is current and future technology and how it affects our lives.

9.5/10

The point of this thread is to help other people discover movies, no?

I recently watched True Romance for the first time (a much older movie) and commented here. At least one other member watched it for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it.

For the record, I still haven't seen Citizen Kane. :(

I'm going to watch it soon.

I hear ya man. I went to watch "The Usual Suspects" the other day for the first time, yeah that's been spoiled to hell and back for me.

Helix (7/10*)

*I'm really enjoying Helix, but it reminds me a lot of Lost. What I've realized is that Lost has ruined TV for me forever in what I'm going to call the Lost Principle: no matter how cool a TV show is, I have this overwhelming dread that it is going to end up retarded, which really limits how much I can actually enjoy it. Otherwise, I might rank Helix a 8/10 or maybe even a 9/10.
