They already did. Superhero Movie was fucking terrible.

Scary Movie and practically every "spoof" movie since has been terrible. You're actually asking for another one?!

Only spoof movies ive ever liked was 'Not Another Teen Movie'. That one is hilarious. Rest are all dumb. I dont even watch them anymore that is how dumb theyve become.

Makes me nervous. I love the original so much, I worry this sequel will just make me sad. Hope I'm wrong!

KT

I feel the same way. I didn't even know this was happening until the preview popped up in a theater a few months back.

It opens with Harry and Lloyd at the loony bin, and Lloyd pretending he's been a vegetable the last 2 decades, just for a goof, and I was like:
wds.gif

But then the preview goes on for another minute, and we see Lloyd and Harry recycling some very tired, very much unfunny "these girls are hot and we are nerds" type jokes, and I'm like:
5717-green-goblin.jpg

But, hopefully, the previews are just bad and all the good stuff remains to be seen (as sometimes happens: The Cable Guy, for example), and then I will be like:

yeah the first one is one of my favorites and it never gets old, was watching it on comedy central last night and still find it hilarious. i feel they are showing WWAAYY too much stuff on the trailers for this movie though, so much that not much new will be left in the actual movie. but i'm just hoping that they have little things that will make it hilarious.

like in dumb and dumber, there are SSSSOOOOOO many little things that make it hilarious. just the scene in the restaurant there are so many little things. like when lloyd "has an idea", or when he's pointing out harry when sea bass is walking over, or just the way he talks to the waitress when telling her that the check is on seabass, and when he then tells harry that he learned that trick in a horror movie, and in the movie the guy ends up killing them down the road lol.

so many little subtle things that just never get old.

"Big Gulps, huh? Whelp--see ya later!"

One of my favorite bits in Dumb and Dumber, but you can't really quote it or apply it to anything, because it just doesn't make sense anywhere else. Love it.

^^ that is my favourite line. :D

I was just watching the entrance to the ball and when Harry nails Lloyd in the back of the leg with the walking stick, it kills me every time. :D

I think I am going to watch the original film tonight.

there are too many parts in the movie that i love that i simply can't pick just one.

"WE LANDED ON THE MOON!"
when harry drills mary with a snowball right in the face
the lloyd and harry are "breaking up" and the meatball song starts playing, and lloyd is telling him off then he starts to cry... lol the look on his face.
when he drives up with the little scooter, just his mannerisms are hilarious, and how he tweaks the mirror.
when harry pisses on him while driving and the way he says "thats really warm"
"FOR CHRISTS SAKE JUST GIVE ME THE GODDAMN NUMBER!!"

just so many parts in that movie.

My favorite line from Dumb and Dumber:

"Give it to me you pumpkin pie-hair cutted-freak!"

I still lmfao ass off every time I see that scene. Harland Williams is great!

are you guys serious? i really liked the first two movies but the trailers for the new movie look pretty terrible.

[edit] finally watched hunt for red october. 8/10. sean connery was bad ass in the movie. for some reason every time i see alec baldwin i think of donaghy. it's a really suspenseful movie. some of the effects are really dated. i wonder if people would be ok if they cleaned up some of the scenes? like the blue screen stuff at the end of the movie?

Interstellar - 8.5/10

Wow that was quite a movie. I still don't quite know what to make of the last 30 minutes/ending but I really enjoyed it. The cast and acting was excellent, as was the visuals and sound/music. I'd like to see it again actually; for me it's the type of movie that requires more than one viewing to understand enough.

Nolan sure does love playing around with time in his movies (except Batman I suppose).

The best part about the Sea Bass thing, is that Jeff Daniel's referred to a movie he was in, performing the exact same scam. It was Something Wild. =)

That movie was just so amazing.

I hope the movie has more to offer than the trailer. That "I'm pedaling as fast as I can!" bit is so groan-worthy that it shouldn't even be in the movie, much less, the trailer.

Yeah. The trailer has some terrible gags and I'm expecting it to be terrible. :(

The story of Batman Begins (best one, IMO) is told out-of-order.

There really is nothing to say about this. Nic Cage... you've come a long way.

Wow, it has a 3.2 on IMDB, so looks like you aren't in the minority with that opinion.

Please do.

I re-watch D&D last night and I had forgotten the second part of the gloves joke and it made me laugh my ass of. Harry is strangling Lloyd and Lloyd is making dying noises but just says 'ack, Harry, your hands are freezing'! I laughed so hard. :D

I cannot watch HFRO .. I saw it when it came out in the movie theater and then read the book over the next week. I went to see it again with a friend and saw all of problems in the movie version and now I hate it.
