Now a days there is less and less adjustments, parts lasting longer. Non-serviceable stuff and etc.

Before it would be plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor, air filter, fuel filter, advantage/retard timing. There are more pending on chassis you are working with but now most are gone, plugs like on acura's claim 100k.

I'm asking before a lot of people come and ask me what should i do in terms of tune up. I normally tell them change you oil and filters and replace whats broken when its broken. If they really wanted to be pro-active. i tell them replace the spark plugs, intake filter, oil change. lube up doors and sunroof. Check and refill all fluids and run sometype of fuel treatment. Most of these cars are 2005+ models.

Assuming if your asking someone whats needed for a tune up, your knowledge isn't super great in automotives is there anything else i'm overlooking that should be common on mosts cars on the road today.

Basically nothing. I go by manual which has oil change every 5-10k miles depending on car, air filter every 15-30k or something like that, coolant change every 30-60k depending, plugs every 60k or 100k, maybe some "inspection" of other fluids in there, maybe replace belts every several years. Basically other than oil cars don't need much attention at all to be honest, at least not on any sort of regular basis. Oh, and tire pressure 🙂

Sparks at 100K
Air filter should be replaced every 10-15K (by you, it should be easy)
Lubes can be done any time

Tuneups mostly involve some cleaning (some people like Seafoam or whatever), flushing or draining and replacing all fluids, cleaning throttle body etc.
