(novice) question about FTP servers

So i was put in charge of organizing data for an organization that i work for. We have branches all across the NE, so one of the objectives I wanted to implement to easily share data amongst them was a FTP solution. I was looking at sites such as www.drivehq.com that handles all that for you. You're able to create subaccounts, dropbox, etc. I was wondering if a service like that is the best solution? We also have a website that we run (i know, stupid question). Is it possible to use the storage in the site to share files via an FTP client?

Wouldn't something like Sharepoint, a wiki, etc be easier for your users to deal with?

yup office 365 gives you a cloud based sharepoint/exchange/etc for your office 2010 professional plus (enterprise)

Well I was thinking in-house Sharepoint. With the issues we had with BPOS I would be very hesitant to recommend Office 365 to anyone.
