novell netware & windows xp

Im just curious, what are some advantages using the novell netware networking software over windows xp networking software such as server 2003 and whatever other windows xp networking software there is?

netware is showing it's age now, but back in the day, the stability of Netware was better. It also offered directory services, which MS didn't until 2k server.

Novell is still a great Server. They are amazingly stable, have great data recovery with the file system, extremely robust file rights, and is simple to manage with eDirectory and ConsoleOne.

Applications like Zenworks make application instalation a breeze.

GroupWise is a great email system.
