So, I have a job interview this week for a basic support type position at a local company.
Job sounds ok, pretty cool, I'm comfortable with everything they describe.
Except, "familiarity of Novell networks and Groupwise."
It's been about 5 years since I had a regular job - but I have worked as tech before in a large organization. But the last few years I've been a consultant for small companies - working out their network and other issues, administering servers, etc.
I don't know JACK about novell. Nothing. I know what Groupwise is but otherwise no experience with it.
I'm comfortable with tcp/ip, exchange, active directory, etc - total MS networks, basic network admin stuff.
Can somebody please, either point me to a good source, or tell me basically what is DIFFERENT about a Novell/groupwise situation as opposed to a MS setup. What is different about the two approaches?
I'm not interested in bullshitting them in the interview - I will tell them straight out that I don't have experience with Novell. If they like me I'm sure they'll be happy to have me learn.
Thanks for any info.
