Alright, maybe I am missing your point. Are you saying that rendering 3d models onto a 2d monitor is not useful? Like, we'll have to develop a proper 3d display? Because if a 3d model on a 2d monitor is still ok, nobody could have developed a tool that is capable of using because nobody had 'it' to use. Maybe it's a chicken/egg scenario, but at least here somebody has stepped up and created the chicken (or is it the egg? 😕 ) 🙂

Hmm, the link isn't working. I do look forward to trying it out, though. I'm sure it will be significantly better / more useful than Sun's Looking Glass, which was interesting as a tech demo only (and a poor one at that).

It's a quick-n-dirty cdrom based on Gentoo. Don't expect anything wonderfull and it's only going to work on specific hardware.
