So, do they finally have more rushing yards than me now?

edit: yep...25 yards rushing at the time that I looked. 25 - 14 = 9 total yards rushing for the year. That's more than me.

Who the hell cares if a team isn't part of a conference??

You still gotta win the games you play, just because ND doesn't have some in-conference foes like you jokers in the Pac-10 doesn't make them any less deserving of a bowl game. And you can get on ND all you want for playing teams like Navy, Army, and other cupcakes.. but EVERY team schedules crap games like that.

They (ND) play 3-4 quality teams in a season, pretty much the SAME as "premier" schools like USC, Texas, Oklahoma, etc.. People like to think ND is the only team who plays weaker schools to grab easy wins and that being independent helps them shape their "fraudulent" schedule, yet EVERY team does it!

So, because ND doesn't want to give up a TV contract with a nation-wide broadcaster, something I doubt ANY school would relinquish. And because they want to be free of having to pay to be in a conference where they would probably have to give up many of their normal rivalries as well as marque match-ups.. they shouldn't be rewarded a BCS spot even if they meet the criteria to be selected? That, my friend, is typical ND-hater BS, and I'm sick of hearing it in my city, online, and by moronic analysts on ESPN.

Sadley the Irish lost this game 31 to 14. They are currently 0-4 and the slide should continue next week at Purdue (4-0).

Sad.

I wish I still liked football ... I might revel in ND's loss.

I just don't care much anymore after watching football religiously for 34 years.

Purdue is only 3-0, they still have their match to play tonight. Plus, their schedule has been pretty weak imo.

Does Notre Dame automatically go to a bowl game regardless of their record?

No. They go to bowl games when they have a mediocre record, but they will not go to a bowl game when they finish this season with 2 wins.

Teams with .500 records go to bowl games you know.. it's not exclusive to Notre Dame.

And all the rest of us are tired of seeing Notre Dame get into bowl games that they clearly don't deserve to be in. You can tell they don't deserve to be in the bowl games they get into because they get their asses handed to them every time. Go whine elsewhere.

Well the rest of you can keep crying in the corner and complaining on Internet message boards for all I care. Just because they aren't part of a conference doesn't make them fraudulent, and that's the case I was making based on the post I quoted. I'm not whining, I'm trying to defend a team that is ALWAYS bashed and ridiculed because of baseless asshats like you who simply WANT to see them lose.
