yum install, as useful as this utility is, it doesn't appear to be back-ward compadible.
Now as much as I like updating my software to the latest and greatest, some web hosting providers offer ancient web technologies.
Ie, I had php5 on fedora core 5. I personally don't mind php5 since I like it's capabilities. This particular web hosting service which is being used for website I'm working on offers php4. (they haven't seen the light yet), easy to uninstall php5 through yum. however, have yet to find a way to install php4 through yum. Currently rebuilding php4 rpm.
