:|:|Due to my worthless ISP's connections the queue will be unreachable until they pull their heads from their @sses. They are blaming thier downtime on UUNET(worldcom) but I'm not buying it. My home connection is a DSL connection on Qwest lines but using (soon to be NOT using) a company other than Qwest. :|:|

<-- posting from work on a Qwest connection

<-- soon to be changing ISPs:|:|

Can anyone confirm that UUNET is having country wide problems? My ISP claims that UUNET is down ALL over the country.

Queue is back online - I haven't confirmed whether it was actually UUNET's fault yet or not but Avalon sure is blaming them. blah blah blah

Atleast it is back up.

Yep I read/saw the articles- When I finally got through (again) this afternoon to my ISP I was told they only have 1 connection. I then promptly informed them about a little thing called redundancy:p. I'm still switching ISPs as I've had problem after problem with these guys. And to make matters worse I got a call tonight from them(in response to a message I left this morning at ~10am) in which the guy decided to take offense to my question about redundancy and basically told me to switch if I had a problem with the way they run their business:Q. So I have now placed my order with Qwest to switch to their service. I understand the problem affected the whole country but it shouldn't have happened in the first place. If UUNET doesn't have redundancy, and my ISP doesn't - then they don't get my money. I talked with the Qwest people and they said that in my area they should have routing schemes that would prevent events like happened today - good enough for me.

/me goes to round up site registration info so I get my accts in order before the switch - Grrr

My "History" page has not updated since 5:11pm today, eventhough I've uploaded a bunch of results since then. The "Reports: Users" page shows the correct amount for RY and RT, but they are not reflected in my total and on my "History" page. Do you know what's going on?

This queue now seems to have a big backlog of results waiting to be sent back to SETI.

Yikes! 347 as of 1 second ago when I checked her. Hmmm maybe Berkely is down. I'll double check the Queue again when I go home at lunch but everything looks fine from here...just a little plugged up:(:p

Nope - not berkely:( Seems as though there are a bunch of WUs that are getting tagged as Duplicates and so the SetiQ is waiting 10m between upload tries:(

10:48am: s@h_wrk Waiting 10m00s before trying again
10:48am: Q0023 Seti returned: Duplicate result
10:48am: s@h_wrk Sending Result: Seti@home status: Duplicate result
10:48am: s@h_wrk Sending result 05au01aa.17978.10433.348568.190

Hmmm - anyone know how to make it skip trying to upload these Dups? There seem to be ALOT of them from 1 user who always dumps huge numbers!:D But it kinda sucks if most are tagged as dups then it'll have to filter though ~100 Dups at 10mins a pop :Q

I'll see what I can do in a few - off to lunch:D
