Noticable difference between hub/switch for DSL?

I've heard that a hub is "dumb" and a switch is "smart" in that a switch only sends data to the ports necessary. If I'm only sharing a DSL connection to two computers through a router and I already have a hub, would it be worth the money to get a switch or would I not even notice a difference?
