Nothing to see here[fixed]

do a search on her system for the extension *cab.

Sometimes manufacturers put the cabs in a folder on the harddrive so their tech support doesn't have to waste time while customers locate their cds.

If it's a homegrown computer, it might be good to go ahead and copy all the cabs to a folder when you get a chance....it saves time in times like these. 😉 I wish I had a win98 cd that I could help you out with... You also need to specify if you're running Win98 or Win98SE... The cabs are different if I'm not mistaken... Good luck.

As a follow on to Scarpozzi's post, normally on Windows 9x, the CAB files are placed in C:\Windows\Options\Cabs

Confused

It is her work computer which I think is running 98FE. The damn HP driver was on the fritz again, printing out garbage and such. When uninstalling it, I think it took some cabs with it.

Is this a new thing or have you always been so condescending? You made a thread yesterday or the day before saying how you were off to the gym and it was mocking those who weren't. Then your summary for this thread says "Move along fatty". And now you're being sarcastic with the "all back to your exciting and satisfying lives". Well, why don't you take a picture and give us a synopsis of the man who we all so dearly wish we could become?

Seriously, I have a habit of putting unrelated and totally irrational statements at the end of my posts. It makes them more "interesting" to read

The fatty comment was just fruit on a cake. Condecendance = fun

I thought You of all people would see the sarcasm, but alas it wasd not to be;(
