Fortunately, I've got both.

I was just sitting here looking at my two dogs curled up next to me, and I realized, AnandTech members, kept these two dogs alive, when they were hit by cars 2 years ago. I have you here at AT to thank. 🙂

I'm no longer depressed, my dogs are fine, and I'm making a living. My wife loves me, as I love her. I don't think it really ever get's better than this! 😀

Never said I was rich. I feel like I am. Money is not everything, so evaluate, your values. The really special things in life are still free.

love my wife

but she got a puppy the other day (a mini pinscher) and its a royal pain in the ass. and its so tiny i have to toptoe if its anywhere near me...i dont want to step on and squish the life out of a $250 dog (man i hate spending money on a dog for some reason....especially THAT much money)

Last year I left my wife for another woman....not realizing what I had at home.
Luckily the wife took me back....marriage is not something that comes easy. You have to work at it.
My 3 boys need me at home with them. Now the wife is expecting our 4th...(hope she has a girl!!)
I feel like the richest man in the world!!!

Bah, that's nothing. We got a mutt from the pound a bunch of years ago and had to have knee surgery on her right leg (she completely tore her ligament). Cost us $1,200...We paid $60 for her from the pound.
 
Bad, Johnnie, bad. Hehehe....know what you mean. I did a similar thing, but didn't go quite that far. Sometimes a person rides off into the horizon, looking for something, and returns only to find it. 😉

I'm so glad to hear that things are good again.I always liked you and thought it was a bummer that things were so bad there last year.
 
3 little kids, a dog, and a new house in 2003 - makes all the hard work worthwhile!
