Nothing like putting in two dollars in a vending machine for a $1.50 drink...

I once ran into a pop machine on campus that would give you your drink and your change and your original toonie would fall out onto the floor. It paid for lunch all week after me and a few buddies emptied it out. 🙂
 
I'm suprised ATOT hasn't condemned the op for being a common thief. You would think the moral compasses here would label getting a free drink as stealing and demand the OP be punished by quartering.
 
No good luck, but it was a good day. Got a bunch of stuff I needed for my new place and I even ordered my TV. Should be delivered to the store by the end of next week. 🙂

Well ... this is payback for the times vending machines have withheld my drinks due to mechanical malfunction!

Besides, who am I supposed to return the extra drinks to when the machine is in a location where it's unclear whom it belongs to.
 
There was this vending machine that would always drop money onto the bottom of it. I made some nice money off that. Then one day someone cracked the thing open, and I got free sodas for like a week.
 
We used to have a malfunctioning juice box machine at my middle school. There was a trick where if you put your money in and hit the change return at the right time, it would give you your money back and still count the money you inserted. In some cases, it would even spit back more money than you even put in because if you didn't know how to use the machine correctly, it would actually steal your money.
 
The vending machine at work sucks. The only drink it has I'll drink is coke, but the "out of cans" light is broken so I can never tell if it has any or not. You can't get your money back once you try to get something so I end up forced to drink some crap I hate like pepsi or grape soda.

Haha similar thing happened to me today.

Put in $0.85 to get a Hershey's cookies and cream bar and at first I thought it was gonna fuck me but the thing spun around enough to drop two of them!
