Lol - not me though! My company had a sexual harassment class today - at the end of the cheezy ass video - our HR lady was asking some general questions about the video so that everyone understood - typical stuff, yadda yadda.

She came to this one guy - and asked him about a skit we watched about a girl who was talking about her sex life in the workplace - he responded with "I think she's a ho".

lol - he got terminated on the spot. :p

Absoultely. If you are asked a question such as that in a training meeting and get fired for answering.....Dont bother with the re-hire, my lawsuit settlement will keep my living well enough without a job.

Over what? Most businesses make it a requirement before hiring that you agree to their sexual harassment policies (this class in particular is just a yearly class they make everyone attend for insurance purposes), my company's policy in particular states that termination can and will happen - calling someone a whore falls under this policy.

BS, you don't know what you're talking about. I've heard of people getting fired during safety-training because they were goofing around, this is no different. Obviously he wasn't taken it seriously, but wanted to be the class clown.

By that logic - how would it be any different if the person was a black woman or a gay guy, and he replied with "she/he's a ni**er/fa**ot"?

Calling someone a whore creates a hostile work environment, and thus the person is eligible for termination.

I would argue that the whore should not talk about her promiscuity at work lest she wants to be called a whore.

EDIT: I also add, talking about one's promiscuity adds no productivity to ones productiveness.

I HEARD I can sue because my coffee is too hot. I'm going to go over to the coffee maker right now and make a hot cup of coffee, drink it and sue.

Florida is at-will employment. You wouldn't see a dime.

Plus I think you have no clue what wrongful termination is. This is a clear-cut case of termination with cause.

Does it matter if she's called a whore or not? She's the one that engaged in talks regarding sexual activity. She gets the boot first.

Simply because she is talking about it in a public place....normal decent people don't discuss such matters except maybe with close confidant type friends. People that do are usually looking for attention....so she is at least an attention whore.

wow, the world is a much better place for this pansy PC bulldust isn't it

Someone says what they think in a training class, and instead of pointing out why they shouldn't say that, and explaining it, they fire him...nice.
