A new member in the CPU forums seems to want to start up a flame war in another of the AMD/Intel Rules threads.Flame war
Can we get this one locked before the fighting starts?


I trust everyone can agree that it's safe for me to bring this one to the attention of the Mod's?
I'm sure we can all agree the AMD vs. Intel threads have been done to death and all invariably seem to end in a lock.

Why bother to lock it? Unless the members are getting abusive (foul language, hate messages, etc.).

Eventually all flame wars die.

A flame war usually indicates there isn't much else exciting going on. General has been kind of slow lately (unless you are excited about "which burner should I buy?" for the umpteenth time).

EDIT: Sure it's "safe", Rand. But you are adding to your 'reputation' as the AT 'snitch'.

Lucky for me that those whose opinions I'm concerned about don't seem to agree with that rep.



Besides, the Mod's already locked it.
I think we've seen enough of the AMD vs. Intel to guess where that thread was headed.... then again some people enjoy the flames.

Actually, I was mistaken. I thought you were referring to the other flame-war I bet that even the biggest AMD fans are tempted with the P4+Rambus (+GF3) .

Your example was just a bad clone of that one.

Anyway - seriously - a PM to the mod will get the same results without the 'publicity'.
