Nothing happens on power on

Hey all,
I recently got a new revision of the Asus P3B-F motherboard and I am having problems. I installed my ram, P3 500, cards, and drives and when I turn on the power I don't get anything. Screen doesn't initialize at all, but I don't get any beeps either. When I took out the processor, I got the no processor beep, so it makes me think that the processor may be bad.
The reason I think it's the processor is that my old P3B-F died a smoky death. The smoke was coming from a small transister and fuse right next to the Slot and processor and I think it may have killed the proc when it died.
Any help would be appreciated.

power supply fan come on? if not make sure it's plugged into the mobo right?

if it does.

make sure the processor and ram are seated really good.
might be a bad mobo if that doesn't work
