this nation is going to be the subject of the Lord?s Mercy or the Lord?s Judgement in this election.

We should all pray for the Lord?s mercy. If He shows mercy, we must make certain that we humbly thank Him.

My second favorite. I wish Republicans didn't hate America so much:



A few possible game-changes remain to give us hope here:

1. The Ayers connection, which up until now, hasn?t been covered in the MSM, could resonate with voters, many of whom are just tuning in.

2. A knockout effort by McCain at the town-hall style debate tomorrow.

3. (I hate to wish this, but) A major foreign event involving a dire threat to national security.

My personal recommendation: Any time a story comes out about evolution, gay marriage, rights of detainees in Guantanamo, or some sort of civil liberties/security thing, head over to freep right away and check out the comments on the story. It is guaranteed to be comedy gold.

Its about eight years too late for the New Republic to wake up and realize their side is going to lose big time. But they were standing there cheering as their side, GWB&co., delivered one disaster after another to the American people, included a recent almost close to financial melt down, and now the New Republic calls the other sides rubes fooling the gullible.

I think Lincoln mentioned, you can fool some of the people some of the time, but not all of the people all of the time like the New Republic is trying to do.

lately though townhall is downright scary.

when Obama said that "they cling to guns and religion" he wasn't kidding.

Every other post over at townhall invokes some sort of biblical catastrophe for the democratic heathens. Every other post talks about saving guns and their 2nd amendment rights.

the panic that must be setting in on some people must be too much of a burden, they are falling apart

I agree, what with them wanting to expand the inclusion of the Mandalorians and the Hutts into the Senate and raise taxes on Correlian and Tatooine imports. Fuck them! Seriously wasteful spending and earmarking going on, I mean 10 Trillion credits to repair the Jedi Temple on Yavin IV? WTF! Down with the New Republic! Bring back Palpatine!

Our little corner of the world is nothing like freeperville. There is at least some discussion here from both sides of the fence. They may as well change the name over there to Fox Forums. All that place is, is a right wing fundie circle jerk.

it reminds me of this one time in college when I stumbled on a Smashing Pumpkins forum while looking for a download of Machina II... there were deadly serious posts on the forum arguing that the Pumpkins were better than the Beatles.

There's a thread around here which wants to forcibly restrict Fox News from covering the election.

I've seen posts that say that religious people should be prevented from reproducing so as to curb the proliferation of anyone who thinks like them.

Condemning you to hell may be stupid and mean, but it's no more dogmatic and just as intolerant as the kind of stuff I see around here sometimes.

My favorite was that the Dems poll stronger on the weekends because the Republicans are at church praying for their candidate. Christ, when I say it just sounds like I'm making a snide comment about them, but when they say it...
