I know that was an option... but a sex store geared towards married couples and doesn't sell 'hardcore' items doesn't seem dirty at all.

Those people in the photo look a little... unfortunate...

And by unfortunate I mean incredibly ugly.

While none of the merchandise is exactly hard-core, neither is it the sort of stuff you'd be happy to brandish in front of the vicar. Clearly, though, the Hegartys' vicar is made of strong stuff.
 Nice.

The New Testament is clear that a marriage needs sex, frequently, to remain strong. Shame most preachers feel it's taboo to talk about it.

where?

I don't remember the book/chaper. The Song of Songs is all about sex and love in the Old Testament.

Last year a pastor I know did a month on marriage sermons. He talked openly about sex and how the Bible shows that a healthy marriage includes sex at least two to three times a week.

Anyway, it's all in there.

I have seen nothing to indicate one way or another in the New Testament about birth control.

Come now guys, you people are so quick to attack  Here you guys go to satiate your cravings :D

1 Corinthians 7:5
Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.

As to birth control, oral sex, and other questions you may be wondering about, the Bible doesn't lean one way or the other. However, in reference to oral sex, there are several passages in Song of Solomon that actually is sort of an erotic poem. God doesn't disdain sex among married couples. Its one of the blessings he gave us.

Song of Solomon 2:3
As the apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons. I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste.

(A wife performing oral sex on her husband)

Song of Solomon 4:16
Awake, O north wind; and come, thou south; blow upon my garden, that the spices thereof may flow out. Let my beloved come into his garden, and eat his pleasant fruits

(A husband performing oral sex on his wife)

As you can see, sex is not foreign to the Bible. It is something God created for us to enjoy with our married spouses.

Genesis 2:24
Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

No one must forget however what the bible says about fornication and adultery.
Leviticus 20:10
And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.
I implore those who want to know what *is* forbidden in sex to look at the chapter of Leviticus. They make mentions of things such as drinking blood and bestiality. But also only study it if you can read it easily. You dont want to confuse what is forbidden to all, and what is forbidden to the Levitican priests (They were forbidden to do a lot of things).

And for those who want to see the poetism the Bible can give to subjects such as sex, look at Song of Solomon chapters 2, 4, and 8.

There people. Quit being so quick to attack and just ask someone to see if they can look it up

OOOOOH let me cover something else here really quickly. The whole Onan spilling his seed controversy... This is yet another classic example of people looking at one verse in the Bible and going "OH OH THERE ITS IS!!! ITS WROOOOOONG!!!" without even taking a single moment to look at the story *around* the principle.

Everyone thinks it was him masturbating. Thats not the case at all. I'm going to try to compress the story.. I know how much all you people like cliffs :D

There was Onan, he had a brother named Er
His brother's wife was Tamar
Onan and his brother were in the line with David, Jesus and so on
Er was deemed evil (had done things which the Bible does not mention) and thus God killed him
God commanded Onan to marry Tamar (a common practice) and have children by her
Instead of having children, Onan pulled out at the end each time they had sex "spilling his seed"
Onan directly disobeyed God, and thus God put him to death

If you want to read it for yourself:

Genesis 38:7-10
And Er, Judah's firstborn, was wicked in the sight of the LORD; and the LORD slew him.
And Judah said unto Onan, Go in unto thy brother's wife, and marry her, and raise up seed to thy brother.
And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother's wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother.
And the thing which he did displeased the LORD: wherefore he slew him also.

As im fairly sure anyone can read, it had nothing to do with masturbation. how it came to refer to that is well beyond me

Really? I mean, its not like its discouraged, and I mean, Chrisitianity gives the full go ahead to do that, but I don't think it encourages any thing like breeding like rabbits type of thing.
