Heard there was a Fire in one of the UPS head quarters.
I wonder if that was the reason for such a big delay
 
Upon checking the ups web site, Ground would only take 3 days to ship between those two locations. Next time you should probably have your dad ship via Ground and save $15-$20... Ground delivery time through UPS is guaranteed just like their air services.

Also, since they didn't make their guaranteed delivery time, they'll refund the shipping costs. Call them up.
