Nother Corsair XMS problem

I have read many, many forums on this topic, but not the same problem as mine. I have built a P4 3.2, Asus p4c800 Del. E, 1G Corsair 3200llpt (2x512 maxed. etc), Antec Case and true plue 350 Power Supply. I built two of these exact systems. One for friend and one for me. Friends went fine and is running fine.

On mine, if I disable quick boot and let it do full memory test, the memory fails the read/write test. It will still post and I have installed windows XP pro etc. It does not do it every time, but almost everytime. I have tried everything I can think of. Any suggestions will be appreciated

Thanks for any help.

Try running with each individual stick. You may have a bad stick of memory. This way you can figure out which if any. Otherwise, try RMAing the memory for all new.

Download memtestx86, there are both .iso images that you can burn to a bootable CD and floppy images. Run memtest first with both sticks, then one stick at a time and isolate the bad one -- it's unlikely (but not impossible) that you've got two bad ones.
