Went to Crucial and used the memory finder, it shows that
DDR PC3200 ? CL=3 ? Unbuffered ? Non-parity ? 5ns ? 2.5V ? 64Meg x 64
Module Size: 512MB
Package: 184-pin DIMM
Feature: DDR PC3200
Configuration: 64Meg x 64 does this mean it is/isnt ec ?
DIMM Type: Unbuffered
Error Checking: Non-parity
Speed: 5ns
Voltage: 2.5V
SDRAM Timings:CL=3
will work in my mobo.
Okay, the mobo manual says that :
"Max 3 GB unbuffered pc 2100/1600 non-ecc"
(note) PC2700 max 2 dimm support. PC3200 max 1 dimm support.
say nothing about ecc/ec on the 3200
Now does this mean that only 2100/1600 has to be non ecc? or is the 3200 above non or ecc? does it matter? how do you tell? a bit lost here.........make that a lot lost!
