That's a really good deal. If your willing to compromise portability and battery life for screen size and the ability to play recent games, then go for it :thumbsup:

Hmm never thought about the battery life decrease from a 17in screen. How much would you say it decreases battery life? At least it comes with a 8-cell battery.

The closest thing I could find was CNET's review of the HP dv9500t, which has pretty similar specs (With the 9657 having an extra Hard Drive). On their test run the laptop lasted almost three hours, which is really good for a desktop replacement laptop. They didn't specify the battery they used though, but I'd imagine this was a standard 8-cell.
