Notebook won't take Logitech webcam

Notebook: Toshiba A20 2.6 GHz 256MB of ram

The computer crashes whenever i try to have a 2-way video conversation. According to Logitech's website, there's no real explanation to this problem. It states there are some issues with Ali boards (like the notebook's) that cause mostly a greener image, but i couldn't find anything else related...

The cam works great on any desktop machine. The same problem show with non-stx webcam communicate i borrowed from another (they work with the same drivers)
