I bought a Dell Inspiron 8600, the XP was pretty messed up, and they didn't have the recovery CD's. I formatted not thinking about needing the recovery cd, or checking the HD to see if it was on there. I went to Dell.com and searched for drivers and such, they have a bunch. All I really want is the ones to use the dell buttons (volume etc) and check battery life. Maybe I'm blind but I couldn't find anything for this on there. Is there something I can download so I can do this? I don't want to install a bundle that gives me tons of crap though.
another question, it has the 4 lights under the screen, the battery one doesn't light up when I plug in the AC adapter, but the screen does get brighter. Is this a problem? I haven't had time to run the battery down to check yet,
