notebook wireless: mini-pci vs PCMCIA

i want to get a laptop soon. is there a page telling about the differences between the two kinds of cards? i mean, i know one is internal and the other sticks out, but are there performance differences?

please input?

From what I know, as long as you have Cardbus PCMCIA slots (which is basically every card/slot today), then you have the same power/speed as mini-PCI. Hopefully someone can confirm/refute these comments...with more detail.

Some of the built-in ones (mini-PCI) *might* have better antennas and therefore better range.

all depends on what you buy, you can pick up an Orinko (sp?) that has a place to screw inyour own antenna, slap on a 25 dollar multi diretctional antanna and your going to have some kickbutt reception
