I have a Compaq 2701US notebook notebook with Windows XP. Problem is, when I turn it on, if I don't log into one of the XP accounts I set up within about 15 seconds, the thing reboots! It will just keep rebooting over and over if I don't do anything. If I log in quickly, I get into WIndows just fine and everything runs perfectly.
I've had this problem since I bought it a year or two ago, and it's using XP SP1. I don't know if it's a Windows problem, or an issue with the notebook itself.
Is there some sort of energy saving or sleep mechanism that's kicking in?
