2.5" is the standard size for a SSD. You may need to do a little MacGyver action in mounting it in your case. Just tape it somewhere out of the way. It hardly gets warm.

So it sounds like there's no difference then. I was afraid the connectors might be different or something.

I already picked up a 2.5 - 3.5 adapter.

the sata and sata power connection are the same, you are all set.

yeah they are the same. just make sure you don't accidentally buy a 1.8" one (has a different power connector) like i did by accident before.

You really don't need to mount the SSD. It has no moving parts so it doesn't care how you orient it. Duct tape and picture mounting putty works well especially if you find a place that has the least amount of stress on the SATA data and power connector. When you do this, the SSD will want to stay there, then I just hunker it down with the putty.

Others also just screw in one side while a few lucky others have observed that after rotating the SSD 90 degrees where the 3.5" inch mounts that the screw holes match up perfectly underneath. Do whatever works for you.
