Notebook Search ~ Help (Keyboard Related)

I am in the market for a new notebook, wanting a desktop replacement, 17 inch screen, fast hd (7200) maybe 60 gig or more, decent video card and good screen (dvd movies, photoshop etc).

This will be more of a at home desktop replacement size is not an issue, but would like from time to time to take it to other rooms or long weekend trips vs getting another main tower type system.

Mainly the problem I have with notebooks are the keyboards, from day 1 I learned how to type and use a Microsoft Natural ergo split keyboard and I love it, but due to big hands fingers and never having used a straight keyboard, notebooks are much harder for me to type on.

Do any makers make a split keyboard notebook or something a bit more ergo friendly even? In a 17 inch can I get something with at least full size keys (my other laptop was a dell 600m) to me it was SUPER tiny and hard to use keyboard wise.

Thanks for any input or advice as to what to look at, currently the Dell 9300 and the Fujitsu n6210 are the models I have been looking at altho I don't know if i want another dell (my 600m broke 2x in 5 months).

I realize I could just plug my ergo keyboard in and use that with the laptop but was wondering/hoping maybe there was some new model coming out soon or out recently that I had not seen that might have a split keyboard in it, especially since I want larger 17 or bigger, I thought I might get lucky and find some help on a new or soon to come model that would have a split keyboard built in.

I will check that Acer curved out for sure who knows it may feel better than standard to me.

Bill 🙂
