I'm setting up a system for my truck. I'm almost done with the case which is made from a harbor freight tool case. (Two 120mm intake fans, 2 80mm 7200 RPM exhaust fans..) But anyway, I need a moninter and input devices for it. For the mouse, i'm gonna use a touch pad mouse that I have laying around collecting dust. Perfect thing because I can just velcrow it to my dash. For the moninter.. I got a 386 laptop machine. It has about a 9.5" display, color and all. For this kind of thing, that display would be pretty good, as it looks fairly high quality, and can easy be mounted. However, unfortuantly, I do not know much more then about 'jack' about this kind of thing. I took a look at the connect that comes from the moninter to the machine. The single ribbon cable goes to 2 ribbon cables. Each of those two cables are 22 conductor. (Those kind of ribbon cables that are very thin, like tape.)
So, the second thing.. A notebook keyboard.. (For one of the newer notebooks made by Enpower for PC Club (prolly made by someone else, but i'm not quite sure who)
So anyway, is there any way that I can frankstein these two pieces of hardware and hook them up to a desktop so I can get my mobile GPS/internet/MP3/ect system for my truck?
