My boss wants to get a new notebook for doing presentations at conferences and to present some of our multimedia work at smaller client presentations. He's currently using a G3 300MHz laptop, and is frustrated because while all of our computers here in the office are Mac OS 9, his fellow presenters tend to be all Windoze at conferences. I should also say that I work for a small ad agency, and that our production staff is planning to eventualy jump to OS X. That said:
1. Would my boss be better off getting a PC or a newer Mac with OS X (which would cut down on software costs)?
2. What notebook would you recommend with the following specs as the minimum requirements:
CPU at least 2 GHz+ if PC, 1.25 GHz if OS X)
RAM: 512 MB or 1 GB?
HD at least 40 GB 5400rpm
Graphics Card at least 64 MB
Screen size at least 15"
Thanks in advance.
