1. Yonah Vs. centrino duo ??? maybe it's the same thing, and I'm just reading enough details ?
2. notebook graphics Radeon x1600 or Nvidia 7400 go ? When i was planning my desktop , i was all Nvidia after two comparisons , now... i'm not sure. I've switched form amd to intel, maybe i need to betray again ?

my two major options now are acer tm 8200 , or an asus v6j , which i can configure with more ram, to match the acer.

thanks everybody

if the two cards perform similarly, get the one that costs less. The way I see it, don't let fanboyism get in the way of practicality too much - I prefer ATI personally, but if there is a clearcut advantage to nVidia, or the price is better, I'll do it. But if it is close, I go for ATI. I won't go ATI though if nVidia is more than just slightly better.

i didn't see a big price difference, but as far as i know and read in all the magazines and reviews, Nvidia is usually better for gaming, but ATI has the new AVIVO thingy, which is suppose to upgrade my video viewing experience... (as much as it's going to get on a 14 or 15" screen...

It depends, usually nvidia is faster for all price points except the most expensive cards, but things could be different on the laptop market.

Anyhow, Yonah and Centrino Duo are the same, just make sure it's a dual core yonah. (yonah is the code name)
And I think the x1600 is better than the 7400go.

The Avivo crap shouldn't really matter, it just can use the video card to decode hd video instead of the cpu, but with a dual core cpu it should be no problem for the cpu to do that anyway. Nvidia has something similar. Where nvidia and ATI's video acceleration stuff really matters is for video encoding, since it can be up to 3x faster than a cpu.
