Hello all, new here but I hope someone can answer this for me. My notebook has an 80Gig harddrive. I'd like to save some space on it by installing seldom used graphics programs to an eSATA external drive...is this possible? I know I cannot access the program while the drive is not plugged in. Thats not an issue.

Not a USB, I'm getting an Expresscard eSATA for the notebook and I should get anywhere from 1.5-3 gigs speed depending on the harddrive used.

Since it will work for USB, I'll take a guess and hope it works for eSATA as well.

I was just concerned about possible conflicts with the registry and such when the eSATA drive was not hooked up.
